Dimensions: h: 46 cm cm w: 78 cm d: 78 cm large table dimensions: h: 46 cm w: 122 cm d: 62 cm. The german designer was born in budapest, hungary, in 1940. After political turmoil, ghyczy's family fled budapest in 1956, first to vienna and then to bonn in germany. Ghyczy completed his secondary education in germany, studying sculpture in düsseldorf before studying architecture at the technical university of aachen in 1960, with a specialization in building engineering. He graduated in 1967, after writing his thesis on unconventional school buildings. During his studies, ghyczy worked as an assistant to the famous german architect rudolf steinbach (1903-1966), and on projects in paris and egypt. In 1969, he became a german citizen. (absence of photo of the marking, however the product is very easily identifiable by the visible character of the artist in these two works).
