Workshop furniture

This magnificent piece of vintage furniture, with its double doors revealing a vast storage area, takes us back in time. It is a testament to the years of production of the "Marchal" company, a renowned factory in the automotive industry established in the 1930s. It has been completely sanded and treated against wood-boring insects. A black/blue patina has been applied to the exterior as well as on the drawer fronts. The interior retains the warmth of the wood, aged over the years. The whole piece has been protected by a clear matte varnish finish to shield it from daily wear. The drawer handles are period pieces and have simply been gilded. The latch is new as the old one was no longer present. This solid wood furniture, a tangible reminder of a bygone era, was used daily by workers for decades. It bears marks of time in various places, intentionally left visible.
