A charming little still life, painted in oil on stretcher frame in the 1940s. Signed Gérard, it depicts a bouquet of roses in soft, slightly old-fashioned tones, like the scent of an old house. The whole thing is presented in its original gilded wood frame, patinated by time, which is precisely what gives it its charm. It's not a Picasso, no. But it's typically the kind of painting you would once see in elegant interiors, hanging in a dining room or placed on a dresser next to a crystal vase. Even today, it adds a tender, simple, and authentic touch. Perfect for a kitchen, a bedroom, or even a romantic bathroom. Period: first half of the 20th century (circa 1940). Signed: Gérard. (unknown) Technique: oil painting on stretcher frame. Frame: original gilded wood, period patina. Condition: Good overall condition, with cracks and signs of age that testify to its authenticity. The numerous, detailed photos are taken as close to reality as possible and complement the description. Any questions 🙂 Contact us by email.
