Large vintage centrepiece bowl in blown bubble glass from Biot - 21st century

Spectacular and large footed bowl (centrepiece) made of blown glass from the famous glassworks of Biot (France), dating from the 1960s/1970s. This iconic and authentic piece bears the sandblasted signature "BIOT" under its base (see photos). It stands out for its superb celadon green/aqua colour and its texture sprinkled with an infinite number of controlled air bubbles, characteristic of the historical craftsmanship of Provençal artisans. A heavy, powerful, and very elegant object, ideal as a centrepiece, large fruit bowl, or as a brutalist and bohemian chic decorative element.
