Armchair by Bas van Pelt for Schaik en Berghuis, 1930s

Bas van pelt furniture was sold at his den haag domestic interior shop my home throughout the 1930s and beyond. This is the largest sized of the armchairs produced in this series. The central section of the chair can be adjusted to suit the preferred sitting position. It is structurally in good original condition although the wood and corduroy fabric have some age and use related marks.
