Vintage Iranian armchair wood & leather – Safari style – 60s/70s

Authentic vintage Iranian armchair, purchased in Iran between 1969 and 1971. A characterful armchair made of turned solid wood and leather, with a particularly original handcrafted construction. Its aesthetic evokes the Safari/modernist armchairs of the 1960s-70s, with a beautiful sculptural presence. The armchair has been fully restored by a craftswoman from the Sablé School of Versailles, at a cost of €250. The restoration has preserved its character and patina while allowing it to be used daily again.
