Louis XVI period mahogany secretary, white marble top, clover lock

I present to you a superb Louis XVI style secretary, combining elegance and refinement, typical of the 18th century. This piece of furniture is made of solid mahogany and mahogany veneer, which gives it a noble and warm look. Its practical layout consists of three drawers and a flap, providing a structured and functional storage space. The uprights are rounded and finely fluted, a characteristic ornamentation of the period, extending to spinning top feet, ensuring both stability and aesthetic harmony. The top of the piece of furniture is topped with a raised white marble, elegant and resistant, perfectly suited to everyday use while bringing an additional touch of luxury. The upper drawer, on the front, is highlighted with an ogee molding and adorned with two drop handles with brass rosettes, combining practicality and delicacy in the details. The two lower drawers have the same decoration and provide ideal additional storage for documents or personal effects. The flap opens with an iron compass system, ensuring a stable and secure opening. The fronts are made of thick mahogany veneer on an oak structure, providing a beautiful visual texture and remarkable solidity. The sides are composed of two recessed panels, a small one at the bottom and a larger one at the top, adding relief to the whole. The back, interior, and bottom of the cabinet are made of oak, highlighting the quality of manufacture. The lock works perfectly and comes with its original clover-shaped key, adding a charming and authentic touch. This writing desk, as functional as it is aesthetic, will enhance any interior.
