Hollow plate Terre de Fer HB & Cie decorated with wildflowers 1900-1910

A shallow dish made of ironstone from the HB & Cie factory, adorned with a delicate polychrome floral decoration reminiscent of a bouquet of wildflowers. The rim is animated by four wide moulded pinchings that break the classic roundness of the dish and give it an elegant silhouette, characteristic of the refined productions of the Belle Époque. The stamp "Terre de Fer HB & Cie" refers to the Hippolyte Boulenger & Cie factory in Choisy-le-Roi, one of the great French houses of fine earthenware and ironstone. This understated mark is generally associated with productions made before the appearance of the HBCM stamps, dating this dish to around 1900-1910. In good vintage condition, with fine crazing of the glaze and slight signs of use consistent with its age (see photos). Diameter 24.5 cm, height 3 cm. Ideal for adding a poetic presence to an antique table.
