This Danish teak sideboard by Omann Jun perfectly illustrates why the company remains highly regarded among collectors of Scandinavian design. The clean lines, refined proportions and carefully selected teak veneer create a timeless appearance that feels as relevant today as it did in the 1960s. The cabinet is finished in warm teak with a beautiful continuous veneer pattern across the doors. Brass hinges provide a subtle contrast, while the integrated recessed handles keep the front visually calm and elegant. Behind the doors is generous storage space with original height-adjustable shelves and brass shelf supports. The left compartment features original integrated lighting with its original switch, making the piece ideal as a bar cabinet, media cabinet or record storage unit. A cable opening in the back panel allows for easy use of audio equipment. The recessed plinth gives the cabinet a light and balanced appearance despite its practical storage capacity. In our atelier, the sideboard has been professionally restored. Previous finish layers were removed, the wood was carefully sanded and treated with a high-quality matte furniture oil, enhancing the rich teak grain while protecting it for years to come. Upon purchase, you will receive maintenance instructions with matching furniture oil to keep the furniture in top condition.
