Vintage industrial metal and wood stool with adjustable swivel seat, 1960's

Vintage industrial metal and wood stool with backrest and adjustable swivel seat, from the 1960s by meubles p. Trouvat, chateauponsac. This fantastic stool features a round swivel wooden seat and curved backrest, both teak-colored, and rests on a 4-legged chrome tubular steel frame (see photos.) The piece is in very good condition with slight signs of age and previous use proportioned to time, as well as a patina of time, on the seat (see photo with 1 cent coin for perspective), backrest, edges and feet (see various photos.) the seat and backrest have been partially restored and waxed, and the feet have only been delicately cleaned and polished, all in keeping with the original patina of time. New black plastic toecaps have been added (see photos.) The swivel mechanism works very well and the seat height varies from 71 cm to 81 cm (see various photos.) The stool bears its original manufacturer's mark, on the back edge of the seat, "meubles p. Trouvat, chateauponsac, h.te V." (see photos.) A great stool for an architect or artist, which would also work in any industrial, vintage, rustic-contemporary or mid-century space, be it a studio, loft, office, kitchen, bedroom or other.
