Description. A stunning late 19th century british colonial plantation chair which has been fully restored. This chair was a little worse for wear when we acquired it, the webbing was made using 1930's indonesian tyres (yes, this is the truth and I have photographic evidence), the joints were wobbly, the leather was torn and dry and the frame was discoloured. Luckily, we saw past all this and have a very talented restorer who has managed to bring this chair back to life. The tears to the leather have been repaired, the leather has been cleaned and nourished, the webbing has been replaced, the joints have been tightened and the frame has been cleaned and waxed. Measurements. Height - 97.5cm. Width - 78cm. Depth - 93cm. Seat depth - 54cm. Seat height - 51cm. Arm height - 58.5cm. Length of leg rests - 80cm. Condition. As every item sold by james broad interiors is vintage/antique please be aware before purchasing that they may show signs of fair wear and tear due to their age, however, we take pride in every item that comes out of our showroom and we will not send any item out if we are not entirely happy with its condition. Every item gets cleaned and restored (if necessary) ready for its new home. If you receive an item from james broad interiors and you are unhappy, please contact us as soon as possible so we can resolve your problem right away!.
