Translucent moulded glass dish in amber hue (mass tinted glass). Large circular dish with a cut-out edge, depicting a stylised flower. The central basin is slightly recessed and surrounded by radiating relief petals. The free edge is wavy, following the floral design. Manufactured by industrial moulding, probably in a metal mould. The reliefs of the petals and the veins were obtained directly during the moulding process. Polished finish upon leaving the mould. This is not blown glass but a piece of moulded artistic glassware. Naturalistic decoration inspired by the sunflower. The ribbed petals radiate around a darker textured central heart, creating an effect of depth and realism. The amber colouring enhances the play of light and the transparency of the glass. Second half of the 20th century, likely 1960s-1970s. Scandinavian production, probably Swedish. Very good overall condition, with no reported accidents. * Diameter: 40 cm. * Height: 5 cm.
