Shaped elm burl top, with the grain arranged in a symmetrical composition and a contrasting dark edge. Four slender birch legs. Swedish production, 1940s. The rich texture of the elm burl defines the top, with the grain arranged in a symmetrical composition that highlights the knots and natural variations of the wood. Its almost circular profile is animated by a subtly undulating edge, accentuated by a thin dark border. The base consists of four slender birch legs, gently curved outwards and joined to the top by a shaped apron. The contrast between the expressive elm burl surface and the restrained structure is characteristic of Swedish Modern production of the 1940s. Good condition. It may show signs of age.
