Ancient Tunisian rug from Matmata, handwoven, featuring traditional geometric patterns. Dimensions: approximately 178 × 93 cm. The slight irregularities in size and weaving are a testament to its handcrafted nature. This rug comes from an old family collection, formed during travels in Tunisia by a former architect passionate about architecture, craftsmanship, and Eastern cultures. It has been kept in the family for several decades. A beautiful decorative piece with a lot of character, suitable for both contemporary interiors and ethnic or vintage decor.
