Large Art Deco lion sculpture, in crackled enamel, Peugeot, 1934, Le Jan

Atelier K has found this superb art deco sculpture for you. 1934. Animal sculpture of a magnificent lion in motion on a terrace, in a celadon green crackled glaze. Earthenware from the "Le Jan" workshop in Saint Étienne. This ceramic represents the lion of the famous Peugeot car brand which was present at vehicle dealerships. I completely fell in love with it, I find it absolutely magnificent, I love the details of its muscles and its feline gait. And especially the color of the glaze, a beautiful blue/green and slightly cracked. Collector's item, advertising object. Used, in very good condition. Except for a chip under the terrace (visible in the photos). Small peculiarity of the piece, it is glazed inside and out. Dimensions 45 cm L X 14 X 25 cm H. Weight 2.796 g. Ref707.
