The candlestick is in perfect condition, no cracks, no gaps or shards. The detailed photos show a hole near the base, on one side, which was planned before the email to let an electrical wire pass if one decided to mount the candlestick in a lamp. The hollows provided to receive the candles are wide enough, you have to run a little hot wax, to stick the candle to hold, or use candles a little thick. It is probably a production of the south of france, several potters in the 50s produced this type of pieces in faux wood, perfectly imitating wood, especially in vallauris. The coin is unsigned, it is numbered in black ink, from a manuscript number 11. It is a finely crafted ceramic, typical of a know-how and quality that made the reputation of french productions of the 50s.
