Set of 6 flat plates Bernardaud Limoges – Art Deco – A713

Superb set of 6 flat plates made of fine Limoges porcelain, from the prestigious L. Bernardaud & Cie factory (stamped B&Co on the back). These plates from the Art Deco period (circa 1930) feature the authenticity label "Limoges Unique". They showcase a refined and geometric design: a navy blue and gold frieze, enhanced with delicate garlands of roses. Ideal for adding a retro chic and elegant touch to your everyday or festive tables. Very good condition. The porcelain is brilliant, and the patterns are perfectly preserved. No chips, cracks, or crazing. Please note a very slight and discreet fading in places on the outer rim, normal for their age and indicative of their authenticity. Diameter: 24.5 cm. Weight: 500 g each. Total weight: 3 kg. Explanations of the stamps: B & Co / LIMOGES FRANCE (in green): This is the white trademark of Bernardaud (B & Co for Bernardaud and Company), actively used since the early 20th century. LIMOGES FRANCE UNIQUE (in green): This green stamp corresponds to the mark of the Union Porcelainière. Registered in 1929, this "Limoges Unique" label guaranteed the authenticity and quality of 100% Limoges production. TACHET / QUINCAILLERIE / THIERS (in pink): This is the commercial mark of the retailer of the time. Hardware stores and department stores in the provinces often had a "Tableware" section and had luxury tableware they ordered from Limoges stamped in the name of their own shop (here, the Tachet Hardware Store located in Thiers in the Puy-de-Dôme). Thanks to the combination of these stamps, we can precisely date the manufacture of these pieces between 1929 and the 1930s/1940s.
