Grand vintage Murano glass chandelier by Av Mazzega, Italy, 1970s.

Superb Murano glass chandelier, very rare, by AV Mazzega, made in Italy in the 1970s. AV Mazzega was founded in 1946 by Angelo Vittorio Mazzega and has collaborated with many renowned international designers such as De Lucchi, Piva, and Zuccheri over the years. The most well-known is Carlo Nason, who grew up in one of the oldest families of Murano glass manufacturers. The glass parts are made of thick blown Murano glass, offering stunning colours. Composed of 12 Murano glass plates crafted by Italian master glassmakers, they follow the oldest glass-making techniques invented on the island of Murano. Each plate is unique as it is hand-shaped. Requires 4 E27 bulbs. Suitable for all electrical wiring in all countries. Maximum height with cable is 55 cm. The chandelier weighs 16 kg.
