Rare Art Nouveau ensemble attributed to the Édouard Diot House, comprising an elegant moulded walnut sideboard and its matching original wall shelf. This piece stands out for its typical Art Nouveau lines, featuring superbly sinuous and arched supports, particularly refined woodwork, and a silhouette of great visual lightness despite its generous dimensions. The sideboard opens with two front drawers, topped by a wide display shelf. It is complemented by two lower shelves and accompanied by its original wall shelf, with identical curves, forming a particularly decorative set. Provenance and documentation: Acquired at a sale by the Rouillac auction house, a French reference for furniture and decorative arts. The set is listed in the Rouillac catalogues under lot 117 – Arts + Design #9. It comes from a residence in the Vallée du Loir, then from a collection in Versailles. Rouillac +1. This model is also referenced and reproduced on page 67 in the reference work: Édith Mannoni – Meubles et ensembles Style 1900, Éditions Charles Massin, Paris, 1968. Rouillac +1.
