Refined sauceboat paired with its adjoining dormant in fine earthenware Terre de Fer from the famous Saint-Amand & Hamage factory (Nord), model "BYZANTIN". Very good vintage condition: a very lightly used antique piece. The earthenware shows a fine usage tressail (natural glaze cracks beneath the surface inside), a testament to its authenticity. No chips, no structural cracks, or chipping. Highlights: Superb cobalt blue pattern printed under glaze (Grand Feu Blue), adorned with scrolls, friezes, and garlands in a neo-Renaissance style. Double authentic marking: printed stamp under the base with the arms of Saint-Amand and Hamage as well as the mention "TERRE DE FER" engraved in relief in the paste. Relief-worked side handles and spout for serving.
