Watercolor Venice the Bridge of Sighs 19th century

Pretty little watercolor representing the city of venice in italy. We see a gondolier on the rio de la canonica canal located between the ducal palace and the prison. These two buildings are connected by the famous pont des soupires. So called because it was the last passage between the court and the prison. Sold with the frame.
