Art Deco round vase in black overlay crystal 1930-1940 Val Saint Lambert?

This sublime Art Deco round vase is made of cut crystal. Made of double crystal, known as overlay, it features deep geometric patterns typical of Art Deco. Overlay is a technique mastered since the 19th century by major European crystal manufacturers: a first layer of clear crystal is covered with a second layer of coloured crystal, which is then cut to reveal the underlying crystal. This vase certainly comes from the Val Saint Lambert crystal factory in Belgium. It measures approximately 16 cm in diameter and 16 cm in height. In generally good condition, with scratches at the base and small chips on some cuts. There are three chips on the edge of the vase.
