Chesterfield Club Whisky 1930 canapé hand-restored

We are delighted to offer at auction this original 1930s club Chesterfield sofa in restored whisky brown leather, in newly restored condition with feather-filled cushions. This sofa is an exceptionally rare piece with a wonderful aged patina, a solid beech and oak frame, a coil spring system with each spring hand-tied eight times, upholstered in Hessian fabric, and very comfortable cushions filled with goose down. The arms and back are tapered and sloped, features found only in the finest models. The leather is completely original with all the expected signs of original patina from age and use. Dimensions: Height 77.5 cm, Width 200 cm, Depth 84 cm. Please note that vintage leather items will always have a natural patina in the form of cracks, creases, and wear. It is recommended to regularly wax to prevent moisture loss and to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
