Vintage Biot Green Bubble Glass Ice Bucket - 13cm Ice Cream Pot Vase

This pretty ice bucket is made of bubbled glass in a beautiful mint green color. It is a modernist ice bucket typical of the 1960s and 1970s. It is mouth-blown using a traditional technique characteristic of the Biot glassworks. At the base, you can see the trace of the broken cane used to blow the glass. Biot bubbled glass has existed since 1956, when glassmakers succeeded in creating bubbled glass: by controlling the bubble, trapping it between two layers of glass, thus making a defect a quality. Between tradition and creation, each Biot glassworks is unique, because it is mouth-blown by master glassmakers. Depending on the season, the products come in all colors: sand rose, lime green, amethyst, Persian blue... Sparkling colors! In very good condition, this bucket measures 13 cm in height and 15.5 cm in diameter. There is no visible signature.
