Art ceramic, towel holder with floral decoration signed Giovanni Desimone.

Superb wall-mounted ceramic towel holder from the 1960s featuring two stylised flowers in bright colours. Two protruding knobs are used to hang kitchen towels. This piece from the 1960s bears the signature in the glaze of Giovanni Desimone, a renowned Sicilian artist. Coming from a noble family, he dedicated himself to ceramics. His daughters later revived his workshop by producing more affordable series pieces. One of the curves serving as a mounting point has been broken and was previously repaired. Restoration is possible. More information and photos available upon request.
