Florence KNOLL (1917-2019) for KNOLL INTERNATIONAL. Round Table Ø 145 cm

Model created by Florence Knoll in 1961. The four-legged metal structure supports the tabletop. The Knoll signature is present on the base. The Calacatta marble top has been repolished, with a matte varnished finish. The Knoll company, founded in 1938 by her husband, owes much of its success to Florence Knoll (1917-2019): she was the one who integrated the furniture of architects (Eero Saarinen, Mies van der Rohe, etc.) into the collection of the American firm. An architect herself, she offered her own interpretation of minimalism and rationalism in her furniture, as illustrated by her conference table and various sideboard models designed in the 1960s.
