Pair of antique Murano wall lights with gilded engraved mirror, Italy, 19th century

Elegant pair of antique Murano blown glass and beveled mirror wall sconces, dating from the late 19th century (circa 1880–1900). Each sconce features an etched and gilded mirror depicting a couple in 18th century costume (man and woman). The blown glass candle arms are decorated with typical Murano gilded flowers and delicate pendants. These sconces are not electrified, but holes are already present in the bobeches and on the back, facilitating future electrification if desired. Condition: very good for their age. Note: Cracks at the bottom of both mirrors, discreet, located outside the etched areas and partially hidden under the glass arms.
