We are selling a superb rectangular walnut mirror decorated around its edge with arabesque and scroll patterns gilded with gold and in the corners with delightful flower patterns. A rare and original mirror, surely old judging by the all-wood back veneer. Its originality comes from its double corners on the upper part, from the contrast created between the dark wood and the gilded brass patterns which bring light and sophistication. In the napoleon style, this mirror presents similarities with art nouveau through its refinement, particularly in the treatment of the brass floral motifs.
