Pair of Sarreguemines Earthenware Vases from the early 20th century, sold in 1919. This enamel with shades of gray and blue shows us a very particular oxide work. The variations of the oxide work, on each piece remains unique and very decorative for each vase. Height 29 cm, Diameter at the widest 13 cm Brass ornaments in the late 19th century style embellish the earthenware work. The vases still have the old sales label from the store at the time. (see photos) I think that in the store at the beginning of the 20th century, these vases were sold individually and did not form an original pair. The customer must have wanted two to form the pair. This is why each vase has its period label with the 1919 price. The Sarreguemines factory, active since the 19th century, has distinguished itself by the quality and diversity of its ceramic production. Renowned for its earthenware and enamels, it has adapted to fashionable styles by incorporating elegant shapes and refined finishes. These vases are part of the manufacturer's ongoing research tradition, reflecting the expertise and aesthetics of the time. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information.
