Monumental wall light made of sculpted and curved wood, by Vincent Gonzalez (1928-2019), a French sculptor and designer known for his research on organic form and light. Length 200 cm. The structure is formed from a ribbon of curved and perforated solid wood, articulated in interlocking curves and dynamic points, evoking the movement and tension of natural forms. A particularly masterful play of solids and voids, typical of Gonzalez's formal vocabulary in the late 1960s – 1970s. Discreetly integrated electrification within the structure (screw bulb). Superb craftsmanship and hand finishing, original patina, very good overall condition. Vincent Gonzalez (1928-2019) was an atypical creator, close to the movement of organic art and post-war French sculptural furniture. His works combine the rigor of drawing with the freedom of volume, often approaching architecture. His light fixtures, rare on the market, sometimes appear in period decorative ensembles, straddling art and design. Dimensions: Length: 200 cm, Height: 18 cm, Depth: approximately 15 cm. Estimated weight: 8 kg. Very good overall condition, slight signs of use on the wood, original electrics untested.
