Set of four porcelain cup and saucer sets by Alfred Hache in Vierzon. Adolphe Hache: his factory was the first industrial enterprise in Vierzon. Over three generations, the Pétry-Hache family elevated the prestige of porcelain to the highest level. Their empire lasted more than a hundred years. Adolphe Hache. The name is well known among porcelain collectors. In the 19th century, this industrialist from Vierzon built an industrial empire, employing up to 1, 000 workers, even competing with the productions of Sèvres and Limoges. This was before it disappeared during the 1930s… His story is also that of an unusual family. The fate of the Hache dynasty began with an industrialist named… Pétry. Born in 1783, married, Pierre, as he was named, never had children with his wife. But from his affair with his maid, Catherine Hache, a son and a daughter, Adolphe and Pauline, were born. They kept their mother's name but inherited their father's industries. Up to 1, 100 workers were employed at Hache. In perfect condition except for the gold trim on the edge, which is worn.
