Two Holmegaard ‘Palet’ mushroom-shaped salt and pepper shakers by Michael Bang in yellow. An example of Danish mid-century modern design from Holmegaard and Michael Bang’s iconic ‘Palet’ series. This set of mushroom-shaped shakers epitomises Danish design from the 1960s and 1970s, particularly with its exceptionally stylish opal glass finish. In extremely good condition and a rare colour. It looks as though they have never been used, but have simply been on display for 50–60 years. They measure 8.5 and 12 cm in height, 5 and 6 cm in diameter respectively, and weigh 84 and 113 grams.
