Handwoven in Morocco by Amazigh artisans, this large Beni Ouarain rug is made from 100% natural sheep wool using traditional techniques passed down through generations. The design takes a beautifully simple approach to the classic Beni Ouarain aesthetic. Wide bands of soft, natural ivory wool are separated by fine horizontal black lines, creating a strong striped composition while allowing the natural texture of the wool to remain the main focus. The slight irregularity of each stripe and the subtle variations in width give the design its handmade character. This rug is particularly effective for interiors that need texture and structure without introducing additional colour. The horizontal stripes visually widen a space, while the generous areas of warm ivory wool keep the overall effect calm, soft, and bright. Its combination of thick tactile velvet and a sober graphic pattern makes it an excellent foundation for a large living area.
