Black and blue marble coffee table with chrome base, designed by Willy Rizzo.

Large collector's item. Authentic coffee table very similar to the "Alveo" model, designed by the famous Italian-French designer and photographer Willy Rizzo in the 1970s. PLEASE NOTE: Unlike the most common models on the market made from melamine or imitation lacquer, this exceptional model features a top made from genuine natural stone (marble). The stone presents a beautiful mineral contrast: a deep black background crossed by stunning natural blue and white mineral waves. Each shade is a result of the rock, making this table an absolutely unique piece. The top incorporates its famous removable metal tray/box in the centre, a signature of the Alveo series, ideal for serving as a bar, bottle holder, or ice bucket for your receptions as it was intended at the time. The piece rests on a recessed base, giving it an architectural suspended effect typical of the Italian Radical Design of the era. Slightly rounded corners. Overall in good vintage condition, it still presents very well and naturally stands out in the room with its generous dimensions. Some normal micro-scratches from use on the metal and stone, and a crack on the marble to note but it is non-structural.
