Lovely pair of vases from the house lalique "the vase elisabeth" The elisabeth vase is in molded crystal, pressed, partially satin, it was created by marc lalique in 1948, this pair is not a reproduction made in the years 1ç§à, but is well of period. Nestled among the foliage, sparrows, eight in number, carved in relief adorn these satin and transparent crystal vases mounted on a pedestal. Period: xxth century. Style: art deco. Dimensions: height: 13cm – diameter: 12cm  Base dimensions: width: 8cm X length: 8cm. Signature under the base: "lalique france" In 1945, on the death of his father, marc lalique took the reins of the lalique company.  He used his technical knowledge to renovate and modernize the wingen-sur-moder factory.  Lalique quickly took its place among the largest french and foreign crystal works and the contrast between transparency and satin specific to the brand became famous throughout the world. Of marc lalique's works, we remember in particular the angel glass, which takes up the motif of the angel with the smile of reims cathedral, as a nod to the origins of the lalique family or the bottle of the famous perfume l'air du temps, for nina ricci. He died in 1977, leaving his daughter marie-claude the reins of the lalique crystal factory.
