Rocking-chair RAR by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller 1950

Original charles and ray eames rocking chair in parchment. Vintage fibreglass shell on replacement black powder coated base with solid walnut wood runners (we also have zinc bases and oak/birch runners if you would prefer). Or dowel/eiffel, h base/cats craddle/stacking in variuos finishes. This is an early production chair with the three triangles embossed on the underside and date stamped 18th feb 1957. The contemporary version of this chair is made of polypropylene, which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models, which age really well. In good vintage condition. The shockmounts are in good condition. Some minor scuffs here and there on the shell but nothing serious. Approximate dimensions: Width: 63.5cm. Depth: 61cm. Height: 68cm. Seat height: 43cm. The seat and base will be dismantled for safer shipping but can be bought fully assembled if so desired - please let us know in this case and we will let you have a shipping quote.
