Cesare Lacca dessert table in dark wood and glass - Italy, 1960s

A serving trolley dating from the 1960s attributed to the Italian designer Cesare Lacca, composed of a wooden structure - probably mahogany - forming the curved frame of the transparent glass top, complete side structures ending in four functional and rotating black rubber wheels decorated with brass caps, an inclined underside with five golden rungs and a wooden stop, and a second wider one with a brass hoop for placing bottles. Elegantly assembled on the sides using golden screws with fittings, this trolley combines Scandinavian and Italian aesthetics and materials. Solid, stable, and in generally good condition, there are a few discreet signs of wear on the wood - which we have toned down with wood stain - and a very discreet restoration has been carried out on one of the curved edges of the top. Ideal in your living room as a bar or in any other room of your home as a side table, this trolley will find its place in any type of interior and will bring a vintage and elegant touch to your decor.
