Oval Biedermeier / neoclassical extendable dining table with 5 inlay leaves from South Germany, circa 1880. Cherry wood veneer and solid wood. Ebonized edge, leg tips, and decorative band on the tabletop. Six conical square tapered legs made of solid cherry wood. Five extension leaves, each approximately 49.5 cm, veneered in cherry wood, added during restoration. Extends to approximately 385 cm, seating up to 18 people. Hand-polished shellac finish. Good, previously restored condition with slight signs of wear. Upon purchase, it can be polished again, and the ebonized parts can be re-ebonized with shellac. Dimensions: Height 77 cm (apron height 65 cm), length 138 cm plus 5 extension leaves, each approx. 49.5 cm, depth 120 cm. Six different lengths possible: 138 cm (0 leaves), 188 cm (1 leaf), 236 cm (2 leaves), 287 cm (3 leaves), 335 cm (4 leaves), 385 cm (fully extended with all 5 extension leaves).
