A matched pair of authentic semi-cylindrical wall lamps from the 1960s. Handcrafted in Italy, they perfectly reflect the Mid-Century Modern Mediterranean movement and the design principles popularised by the French master Louis Sognot. Renovated and re-electrified. Geometric design, made with a thick steam-bent bamboo frame showing a rustic patina from the 1960s. Features a flush silhouette where the concentric rattan circles are precisely aligned side by side (tangent fit) and bound with split cane reeds. Inside: original fully modular translucent parchment/vellum inner diffusers. Light age marks on the parchment linings, virtually invisible once the diffusers are placed back inside the rattan structures. * Origin: Italy. * Period: Mid-Century Modern (circa 1960s) * Style: In the style of Louis Sognot / Italian Modern Riviera. * Materials: Natural rattan cane, structural bamboo, original parchment lining, solid brass hardware. * Quantity: Set of 2 (matched pair) * Wiring: Brand new black textile cord with inline switch and European plug. (Note: For a completely seamless look, these can also be easily converted to recessed wall connections by an electrician). * Socket type: Standard European E27. * Mounting: Features integrated and pre-drilled bamboo suspension dowels for a clean, flush wall mounting.
