Chinese cloisonné ginger jar – floral and bird decoration – 1950-70

Charming small enameled cloisonné metal ginger jar, hand-decorated with flowers and a bird in shades of turquoise, copper, and shimmering gold. The finely chiseled details and glossy enamel are a testament to traditional Chinese craftsmanship. The lid is topped with an elegant openwork knob in patinated metal. Dimensions: Height: 9.5 cm. Width: 9 cm. Condition: Very good overall condition, with a lovely patina and some light signs of use consistent with age. The interior is enameled in a deep green/turquoise.
