Louis XVI style marquetry chest of drawers – mid-20th century

Sumptuous Louis XVI style mahogany chest of drawers with speckled maple marquetry, made in the mid-20th century. Crowned with gray Breccia marble, this chest of drawers has two large drawers and is decorated on the front with a Greek urn adorned with flowers. This light wood marquetry is highlighted by the speckled maple, itself framed by a mahogany veneer. The two drawers each have two ring handles with rosettes. Its two uprights are decorated at the top with chiseled bronze fittings. The lower, animated crosspiece is adorned with a beautiful bronze trim depicting scrollwork. Its slender spindle legs end with brass sabots. This functional chest of drawers will seduce with its decorative richness typical of the Louis XVI style which will give character to your interior, whether classic or contemporary.
