Pair of Venetian Lanterns in Blown Murano Glass

Magnificent pair of classic Venetian-style lanterns, made using the traditional technique of blown glass in a metal cage. The textured glass, with iridescent reflections, escapes from its structure in gilded metal to create a unique organic relief. Each piece is topped with a decorative rose in the shape of a flower in patinated brass, adding an elegant finish to the hanging point. Origin: Italy (Murano). Style: 1960s. Condition: Very well preserved. The glass is intact, and the metal has a superb original patina. Ideal as pendants for an entrance, hallway, or a characterful bedroom.
