This beautiful lounge chair was designed in the 1950s by rudolf wolf for elsrijk. Rudolf wolf was an industrial designer as well as an artist and designed several series of furniture for elsrijk in the 1950s where he avoided a lot of welding through ingenious solutions and still managed to give this furniture a sturdy construction. A forerunner for early industrial furniture. The furniture was easy to disassemble so shipping around the world was easy. This is a very rare lounge chair. The chair has been reupholstered with a high quality beige colored squared fabric by de ploeg. The metal frame is in very good condition. The chair looks petite but it is surprisingly heavy and stable. The dimensions are: 76 cm high - 46 cm seat height - 76 cm deep - 78 cm wide.
