This set of armchairs was produced in the early 1980s by the Swedish brand Ikea. The set model first appeared in the catalogue in 1979, was upholstered exclusively in fabric at the time, and was developed as a continuation of the Pix armchair. The leather edition was introduced in 1983 as a premium version of the iconic model. The frame is made of chrome-plated tubular steel. The seat is made of black natural leather. The leather is patchwork, which is one of the most interesting sewing techniques. Items made with patchwork technique look original. The spacious and deep seat is also comfortable thanks to the soft leather. The armchairs fit into many layouts, perfectly complementing them. Ikea is an international conglomerate of Swedish origin that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, appliances, and home accessories. Founded in Sweden in 1943 by Ingvar Kamprad, Ikea has been the largest furniture retailer in the world since 2008. The company is known for its modernist designs of various types of appliances and furniture, and its arrangements are often associated with ecological simplicity. This set is in its original vintage condition with minor scratches and discolouration of the leather due to its age. The seat measures 42 cm in height.
