The most famous of these is the painting by the Orientalist master Jean-Léon Gérôme: "Sword Dance at a Pasha's". 1870. Description: In the East, in a café, a young woman dances on a carpet. She is equipped with two swords; she holds one on her head and the second in her right hand. Behind her, musicians are seated on the ground accompanying her. In the background, patrons watch the performance. A ray of light strikes the dancer from the left.
