Pair of Danish Art Deco lounge chairs, in elm and green velvet, 1940s.
A magnificent pair of Art Deco armchairs from the 1940s, characterised by generously padded shapes, combined with elegant curved wooden armrests and sculptural legs. Made by a Danish cabinetmaker. The armchairs are covered in dark green velvet that beautifully complements the warm tone of the wood. The vertically lined backs, rounded proportions, and fluidly designed armrests give this set a distinctive and elegant Art Deco style. A pair of chairs that are both decorative and comfortable, with a strong personality, perfect as living room chairs or for relaxing by the fire. Note: one of the wooden legs shows visible signs of damage and wear, as shown in the detailed photo. This does not affect the stability or functionality of the chair, which remains fully functional. This pair of lounge chairs fits well with many interior styles. Vintage, Antique, Classic, Scandinavian, Modern, or Art Deco interior decoration.
