Period: late 19th century a superb antique pedestal side table with a modern touch thanks to its shiny black top. The level of detail of the carvings on the legs and the apron are impressive. The structure is made of golden pine wood. The four ribbed fluted legs are connected by a decorative spacer. The openwork apron carved with circles and oval-type motifs. The overall style is louis XVI neoclassical but the concept, execution and mix of motifs are typical of the late 19th century napoleon III period. The black tray was custom made; it is made of a thick and shiny epoxy plate. The table has undergone various repairs (see below for condition and see photos). Condition: structurally good. The gilding has thinned in several places and the patina is that of an antique piece with serious age. New board. One of the boulle feet has been redone (see photo). Several of the rosette appliques on the bottom of the legs are new replacements. The apron sculpt has some missing details that do not structurally affect the table and are very unobtrusive; the most visible missing pieces have been redone/inserted (see photo). Dimensions: 75.5 cm high, 50.5 cm total width with shoulders, 43.5 cm diameter black top, 4 kg.
