Chairs in black-stained wood with seats woven in black paper cord. “Wishbone Chair” model “CH24” designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1949, examples produced in the 1990s and distributed by MC Selvini, Milan. Original manufacturer's mark present. One of Hans J. Wegner’s most recognizable designs, the “Wishbone Chair” model “CH24” was designed in 1949 and takes its name from the distinctive Y-shaped element supporting the backrest. These eight examples belong to a later production dating from the 1990s, as also documented by the MC Selvini label, the historic Milanese design retailer. The black-stained wooden frame is defined by the continuous curved backrest, extending laterally to form the armrests, and by the sculpted Y-shaped central support. The seat features the traditional paper cord weave, also in black, arranged in a geometric pattern that creates an interesting contrast with the curved lines of the frame. The monochromatic finish emphasizes the chair’s essential design and the continuity between its different elements. Good condition. May show signs of age. Please pay attention to the photographs.
