Old counter circa 1940

This superb raw wood workbench, with a slot on the top for putting coins into the drawer, has been filled in (see photo). The piece was used as a counter in the 1940s and ended its life in a back kitchen as a pot cupboard (origin Brittany). The piece is in its original state and shows some signs of wear and previous restorations (see photo). The piece, probably made of oak, is very heavy. There is no locking mechanism for the doors (see photos).
