Sumptuous Art Nouveau desk lamp, entirely made of solid brass, dating back to around 1900-1910. Typical of French notary or lawyer lamps from the Belle Époque, this period piece captivates with the elegance of its lines and the richness of its ornaments. Its gracefully curved gooseneck arm rises from a circular base adorned with beading, giving the whole a characteristic and refined silhouette. The horizontal cylindrical shade, pivoting thanks to a double ball joint, is decorated with typically Art Nouveau repoussé patterns: a central fleur-de-lis and symmetrical scrolls at the corners. The interior reveals a silver-plated metal reflector and a notched socket accommodating a tubular filament bulb. The natural golden-amber patina of the brass, slight traces of oxidation, and general wear testify to the authenticity and age of the piece, giving it that incomparable character that only time can offer. A decorative and functional piece ideal for enhancing a desk, library, or curiosity cabinet in a Belle Époque or Art Nouveau spirit. Dimensions: H. 39 cm – W. 32 cm – Weight: 6 kg. Condition: visible wear, natural period patina.
